[The Creative Process]

These pages are all filled with my own work, written over the last few years.
Some of the entries are marked with the Dutch flag (), which means they're in Dutch.

To create the illusion of order these pages have been divided into several different parts:

The Writing Desk contains a number of short stories, essays and unfisnished novels. Not updated for a very long time, the stuff here is the stuff people dream they'd written years and years ago (like I did). Many things ring true even through a whole new century (let alone millennium) and reach into the depths of your soul, and tickle it there until it either laughs or pees its pants.

Upstaged! There are only three plays in this section, and one of them (the best one, really) is in Dutch. Let's say this page is under expansion. Better yet, let's say this page isn't written by me at all, but by a group of moderatley subversive hackers who find satisfaction in placing their work on the webpages of other people. Like they did with me.

Sebastian Faught is my poetry collection. Generally of better quality than the previous two sections (although they're pretty good as well), this page contains over 100 poems, written in the periods 1990-1992 and 1994-1998. Some of these poems are really, really good. Good enough to have been written by a poet rather than a Java programmer. Good enough to have been published by faber and Faber. Good enough to have been written by Leonard Cohen or Michael Ondaatje. Good enough to forgive the writer of these poems that he was only 24 in 1998, when he stopped writing them. They reveal a depth that is rarely - if ever - found in someone so young.

Mutant Goldfish! Formerly known as Monsters, but whatever this is, it has nothing to do with anything else. Disregard or explore @ own risk. Mainly pictures. Actually, it's only pictures. Or cartoons, if you wish. Drawn by mouse, which was an experiment at the time. Some are quite funny, others not quite so funny. However, all of them question who you are and what you're thinking. Though only if you are thinking at all.

To Be Filled In is my own attempt at a non-linear web comic with tendencies toward being structured. Made entirely in Shockwave Flash, so be prepared to plug in. Versions 4 & higher of the major browsers should have no problems. If you can see a drawing of Fight Club's Tyler Durden in the bottom left corner, you're sorted. More recently, the comic has begun to evolve into a single comic, saved in GIF format, thus accessible even for those with early Netscape 6 browsers, and of an odd post-modern but universal type. You really should read Backdoor Coffeestore.

The Millennium. Thoughts and things, to be precise. Rants, you may call them. Raves, maybe. It's just me thinking it would be fun to record 10 minutes of my life on a page. Some are actually pretty darn good. Mostly about things that were actual once, but are now rather irrelevant, like the Y2K thing (which actually happened - we just never knew!). Other stuff is more universal: the size of compact cars, the taste of white bread or the migration of the bluetit in Winter, to name some random and completely irrelevant subjects about which I never wrote a single thing.
