Hi there! My name is Rich Martens and welcome to my web site. If you're anything like me, when you're interested in a band and their music, you like to know what recordings are available out there. Perhaps you're a collector who needs a guide to the artist's recording catalog, or an avid fan who likes to keep updated on new releases, or maybe you're just looking for some information. If so, I hope I can provide you with some of the best discographies on the Internet.

About My Home Page

A few of my favorite artist and band discographies can be found on my Home Page. The list is continually growing so if your favorite isn't there, it may be in the future. The discographies all contain the artist's complete list of commercially released original U.S. albums (no bootlegs), complete with detailed track data including composer credits and song lengths (these have been determined using a Pioneer PD-203 CD player and may vary slightly to lengths given on the original LPs since any empty space between songs is included in the tracking time - convenient for recording and listening, though, since you DO need space between songs anyway), U.S. original release dates, record labels, approximate collector's near-mint values, highest Billboard chart position, cover art and musicianship (i.e., who plays what instrument). In some cases, U.S. singles and their picture sleeves are also provided. Only the original recordings, record labels and release dates are given; subsequent re-issues of the same record are not listed. Generally, all recordings prior to 1986 should be considered vinyl LPs and 45s; recordings from 1986 up to the current day are in CD and CD-single format. As a special feature, you may also do some comparative shopping and purchase many of the CDs from either Amazon or CDNow. Harder to find discs (new and used) are also occasionally available through the GEMM web site, well worth checking out for the serious collector. Each band page contains a link to browse or buy and many of the LPs are directly linked for purchase.

About What's New

This thing started out as a simple home page experiment back in June '96 and has been expanding ever since. I generally update the site weekly, with completely new discographies or updates to the pre-existing pages appearing monthly and all new releases are generally available within one day of release.
